Toothpaste Burn Marks on Face

I applied Colgate Advanced Tothpaste on two areas on pimples one above the lips and one in the center of forehead. Twice it was fine but then the third time when I left it overnight on my confront, I woke up in the forenoon and got ii dark brown scars. The forehead brown scar I peeled most of it but it has an acne and calorie-free pink skin around it.
